McCollum School
Barfield, Clay County Alabama

It is unknown when this school was organized, but it was possibly organized 
around the same time as McCollum Church. 

1907 
A basket supper raised $40 to ceil the school building.

All patrons of the McCollum school who have not paid school accounts for session 
1910-11, are requested to pay T. C. Graben, Earl G. Smith, or J. D. Knight, by 
October 15th. J. D. Knight, Chairman of Board. [Note: some schools tuition was 
as low as 25 cents per Sesson and as high as $1.25 per Sesson]
