SECOND AUDITOR'S OFFICE

JAN 16 1884

I certify that I have examined the claim of Joshua Horn, father of Joshua Horn, 
deceased, late Private of Captain J K Elliotts Co F 30th Reg Alabama 
Volunteers, and find that there is due to the said claimant the sum of One 
Hundred Eighty Five dollars and twelve cents ($185.12), being for the services 
of said deceased from 31 August  1882 the date of last payment to 22 May 1883 
the date of his death, inclusive, eight months and 22 days at $11 per month 
($96.06) bounty, and commutation for clothing from 1st Sept 1882 to date of 
death.  One mo and sevn days at $4.16 pr mon, 227 days at 37 cts pr day. $89.06

Payable to Joshua Horn father of the dead

upon revision of the above described claim, I admit and certify the amount due

Another letter showing Joshua Sr was paid for service by Joshua Junior between 
his last pay and date of death.
