Camden Home Ruler October 5, 1883
We alluded in our last issue to a supposed crazy woman, who bad wandered to this 
place and was then in the care of Mr. E. Sommerhalder. We did not know the fact 
but it was under the directions and kind offices of our worthy Intendant and 
Marshal, that he had been put in charge of Mr. S. A. private subscription of 
money by our good citizens has been made to assist the town authorities, and the 
Probate Judge of Clay County has been notified of her presence here. She gives 
her name as Mary Barnes, and persons who converted with her, are led to believe 
she was from near Ashland in Clay County.
