Lineville Headlight July 26, 1912
At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Z, W. Braswell, four miles east of Delta, Alabama, 
on July 14th. was a most delightful and entertaining family reunion. Words are 
inadequate to express the graciousness and hospitality shown the many friends 
and relatives who were present. The children, who lived at a distance, began 
gathering Saturday in the afternoon and quite soon Sunday morning many friends 
with the sons and daughters and their families were on the grounds. To see so 
many grandchildren and so many of them near the same size and so near in age and 
six boy babies all to call their own grandchildren was quite interesting. No one 
was more delighted than Mr. and Mrs. Braswell at the gleefulness of those little 
fellows. To give the reader a better idea of the day we can give you a few 
sketches of the surrounding. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Braswell's a very 
beautiful one, elevated with extensive level front view, with many beautiful 
large oaks for shade and it was well dressed for the occasion. Here was a very 
extensive table prepared as one at an old-time association, and when the proper 
time arrived this table was abundantly supplied with all the good things to eat 
one could wish and to make it more appetizing and enjoyable all were served ice 
drinks and lemonade before the meal and in the afternoon. In the afternoon many 
interesting feats occurred to make it pleasant for those present. It was a day 
well spent. The reunion of parents and children made the day one to be 
remembered by all, and especially the little tots who are always so delighted to 
see grandpa and grandma.
