FROM PYRITON, ALA.

Dear Miss Chisholm:
I will write you a few lines while I have the opportunity. I am a girl fifteen 
years old. In the seventh grade, and go to school at Campbell Crossroads. I am 
saving up tinfoil and our school is sending you some now. I belong to the Junior 
Home Red Cross. My teacher is Cousin Lola Hudson, and such a good teacher. I 
love her very much. Your loving friend.

Dear Miss Chisholm:
I am writing you a short letter for the first time. I am going to school every 
day. I go to Campbells Crossroads school. I study sixth grade. I am a little 
girl thirteen years old. My teacher's name is Miss Lola Hudson. I save tinfoil. 
Our school is sending a box of tinfoil. We would be glad to see you. Miss 
Chisholm. Yours truly.

Dear Miss Chisholm: 
I am studying hard every day. I am in the sixth grade, and I am a little boy ten 
years of age. I enjoy myself at school. I think ball is our best game. Base is a 
good game too. I live on the farm in Clay County. I go to school at Campbell's 
Crossroads. Our teacher's name is Miss Lola Hudson. I am going to save tin foil 
and I'm going to do all I can to help win this great war Your friend,

Dear Miss Chisholm: 
I have never written you before, but I have heard so much of you, I wanted to 
write you. Our school is saving the tinfoil for you. We are sending you a box 
now. I am a schoolgirl age thirteen. I go most every day. Our schoolteacher is 
Cousin Lola Hudson. I like to go because she is so good.

Dear Miss Chisholm:
I will write you a few lines to be printed In the Sunday's News. I live at 
Campbells Crossroads on a farm. I love to go to school. My sister is the 
teacher. We are going to try to win this war. I have one brother in the Marine 
Corps. I am a girl twin of thirteen years, and I love to go up on the mountains. 
We live at the foot of a large mountain, and I think this season I the pettiest 
of all. Your friend.
PAULINE HUDSON 

Dear Miss Chisholm: 
I have heard so much about you until I thought I would write you a few lines. I 
am a little boy twin thirteen years old and in the sixth grade. We all enjoy 
long recess and dinner and ball is our best game. My sister, Miss Lola Hudson, 
is our schoolteachers name. I go to school et Campbells Crossroads. I am going 
to do all I can to win this great war. My brother, Bryan Hudson, is in the 
United States Marine Corps at Paris Island, S.C. Your admirer, 
PAUL G. HUDSON. 

Dear Miss Chisholm:
I am writing you for my first time. I am a little girl twelve years of age and 
in the sixth grade. My teacher's name is Miss Lola Hudson, and I sure love her, 
and our school is Campbell Crossroads, and our school is saving tinfoil for the 
little boys and girl who are sick. Our County is Clay and is very beautiful. I 
would like for my letter to be printed in the Sunday News. Your friend,

Dear Children: 
Your letters have made we want to see you. I know some new games that you would 
enjoy. Tell Miss Lola that is she the ever comes to Birmingham she must be sure 
to look me up at The News. My office hours are 10 to 12 a.m. Thank you for the 
tinfoil. It will help the sick children. Your friend,
