The Ashland Progress January 7, 1960
Change in Sheriff's Force -- On January 1st the resignation of Ocie Schoggins 
as deputy sheriff became effective and Billy Joe Endress was appointed to fill 
the vacancy.

Billy Joe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Endress Sr., of this city and has 
been reared here, has served in the Service.

The sheriff's force is a very busy group, having destroyed many stills and are 
endeavoring to enforce the law.
