Lovvorn of near Delta in Clay County and was the property of Chief Fishead, a Creek Indian who in was killed in some kind of sport game. This old Indian chief is buried on the Huel Haynes farm that joins the farm Mr. Lovvorn lives on and is said to have been very popular with the pioneers in his day. This pot is oval shaped and looks like an egg cut in half. It has a capacity of three quarts and is as heavy as iron, weighing between 30 and 35 pounds. It does not have legs like pots of today. Mr. Loworn has carried it to the museum here in Anniston. and said, in the near future it would be put on display, giving those who are interested a chance to see it.
