W. M. Garrett a beloved preacher in Clay County. "I am working harder than I ever have in my life, for I have five boys four in camp and one in France the Rainbow Division." "I am not complaining but am proud that I had such a fine lot or sons to give to Uncle Sam when he needed them. I believe that every one of them will be loyal and courageous soldiers, for I instilled it into them. I am ready, so far as it is within my power to serve my country to the best of my ability, and so am doing my, best to put in a good crop."
