Lineville Headlight January 18, 1918
George Parker, an 18-year-old, boy who resides in the Union community, was lodged 
in jail a few days ago charged with a serious offense against a little 12-year-
old schoolgirl. The little girl was alone and, on her way, home from the school 
when the dastardly attack was made. It is alleged that she was dragged about 100 
yards to an old un-occupied house and was considerably bruised. The people of the 
Union community are said to be very much "stirred up" over the matter.
