Ashland Progress September 12, 1946
On September 8, 1946, the Harris reunion was held at Clairmont Springs. Those 
present were Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Harris and children, Orbie T. and Shirley, Mr. 
and Mrs. E. C. Harris Jr. of Spring Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Bascom Thrasher, Mr. and 
Mrs. Grady Harris of Talladega, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Patterson and children, Mary 
Joe, Martha and Catherine of Lincoln; Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Campbell and children, 
Doyle and Delmer, Mr. and Mrs. John Cater and Judy, Mr. and Mrs. Everett 
Caldwell and Jimmie of Clairmont Springs, Mr. and Mrs. Arbie Harris and son, 
Eddie, Mrs. Betty Parr of Louisville, Ky.; Mrs. Alex Harris, and sons, Clarence 
and Alex Jr., Mrs. Bessie Harris and son, James Louis, Raymond Garner of 
Houston, Texas; Mrs. Ruby Parrish and daughter, Marie, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Parrish 
and son, Carl Jr. of Montgomery. Tire dinner was served at the noon hour in the 
pavilion and enjoyed by all. Some of the children had not seen each other in 24 
years, others in 8 years and some of the in-laws had never seen each other. The 
reunion had not been held in eight years.
