Ashland Progress August 4, 1911
J.F. Knight a well-known citizen of the town was assaulted by Jerry Turner, a 
negro, Tuesday afternoon, in G.W. Alexander's restaurant, Mr. Knight receiving 
several cuts on the face and body. The negro has been arrested and lodged in 
jail.

Additional Comments:
Jerry Turner was convicted of Assault and sent to prison, where he died in 1915.
