The Ashland Progress November 29, 1928
An impressive memorial service honoring the memory of the deceased Matron, 
Nellie Rowe Dean, was held Friday evening, Nov. 23, at eight o'clock.  This 
service, in which was brought out the Eastern Star spirit and ideals was 
presided over by Mrs. Florence G. Newsom, Grand Secretary, of Montgomery, 
Alabama.
