Anniston Star October 30, 1955
Mrs. Celia Jane Pate, Delta, Rt 1, was recently honored with a surprise birthday 
party at her home on her 80th birthday. Among the guests present were Mr. and 
Mrs. Lester Pate Anniston; Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Burt. Oxford; Mr. and Mrs. Clifton 
Morrison, Anniston; Levie Pate and Mr. and Mrs. Owens Pate Delta, Rt 1., Mr. and 
Mrs. Elmer Varnes, Myrtle Pate. Her grandchildren who attended were Mr. and Mrs. 
Nearl Morrison and sons, Mrs. Tressie Bogg and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Harlen 
Pate and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Jone and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Benny Burt and 
daughters. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Adair and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Flint and 
daughter, John Pate, Nelson Pate, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Earl 
Sprayberry and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Morrison and daughter.
