Anniston Star June 21, 1940
A reunion of the Pate family was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ester Pate 
near Delta in honor of Mrs. Elizabeth Pate Winters of McHenry, Miss. It was the 
first time Mrs. Winters family had seen her brother, Emmett Pate of Ohatchee in 
25 years. Among those present were Mrs. Winters. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Chavers and 
daughters Wander Ann and Vivien of Wiggins. Miss Emmett Lee Pate and Mr. and 
Mrs. James Medders of Ohatchee, Mr. and Mrs. O. H. McKay and children, Erdeal 
Anita, Ottice and Loylion, of Pyriton, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Clifton and children, 
Christine, Cread, Mildred, Imogene, Willodean, Jessie and Suretia. Mr. and Mrs.  
Reuben Lee Pate and children, Adele, Tressie, Harlan, Earlene and Nelson, Mrs. 
Dollie Sasnett, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Pate and children, Herschel, Joy and Hulen, 
and Mr. and Mrs. J. C Pate, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Pat of Union, Q. H. Hazel and 
Mrs. Missouri Hazel of Blue Mountain, Miss Levada Strickland, Floyd Vice, Mrs. 
Charles Cash and son, Roland, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. McDow and children, Lillian, 
Frances and Cleo, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Pate and daughter, Kathryn, Mr. and Mrs. 
H. C. Hazel and children, Enos and Lilly Mae, Miss Ovella Pate, Mrs. Mary Pate 
Coleman and J. L. Coleman of Anniston, Mrs. Bertha Strickland of Bethlehem,
