The goats are hardy and prolific; he shoots them when he wants meat, or either for shoes; has their milk for milk, butter and cheese; exchanges kid's flesh for meal with a miller at the foot or the mountain, and sells his surplus animals yearly for clothing, hats, etc., and claims that he is the best fed, best clothed, best shod and best humored man in the country.
