Treadwell and two other gentlemen from Clay County, whose names we are unable to get, had their mules frescoed in various ways last Monday night at the J. A. Matson wagon yard. The diplococcal individual cut the ear off of one mule and then proceeded to do a general carving act on two others. The instrument used from the cuts inflicted appear to have been from a knife.
