They in some way secured the necessary aid from the outside and sawed into the steel bars of the cell thereby making their exit sometime during the night. The Campbell negro was charged with the murder of another negro at Williams mines some time ago and Wood was being held for desertion. Two other prisoners were in the jail but made no effort to escape. Since the delivery was made another negro, a man named Dennis father-in-law of Campbell has been arrested, charged with aiding the prisoners to escape.
