H. Wood, a prosperous merchant of Mellow Valley, Clay County, was in Talladega last Thursday. That part of Clay in which Mr. Wood resides is one of the best sections of the county and is inhabited by prosperous citizens. It is about 85 miles distant from Talladega, and Mr. Wood made it in a wagon the only way to travel from that place. This was Mr. Wood's second visit to Talladega, though he has bought goods here frequently. Talladega invites the good citizens of Mr. Wood's community to do business here, where they will always get value received.
