The Montgomery Advertiser A Mr. Worthy of Lineville, Clay County, was shot with buck shot in his arm some four inches from the shoulder joint by a Mr. Holifield. Dr. W. L. Heflin, of Louina, assisted by Northren, Bartlett and Gordon, cut off the upper end of the fractured bone and removed the entire shoulder joint which was fractured. The gun was not more than two feet from the wounded man when fired. At this writing Worthy is doing very well. The whiskey that caused this came from adjoining counties. We are prohibitionists in Clay, and long to see the day when the entire State will be free from whiskey.
