Services for Orvil Mayron Abner, 78, of Ashland, Rt. 1, will be Saturday at 1 
p.m. at Jackson-Brock Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jack Drinkwater 
officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens. The family will 
receive friends today until services. Mr. Abner died Friday at Clay County 
Nursing Home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Iva D. Abner of Ashland; three 
sons, Edwin 0. Abner of Louisville, Ky., William 0. Abner of Birmingham and 
Clarence Abner of Jasper; two sisters, Mrs. Fronie Mitchell and Mrs. Becky East, 
both of Lineville; a brother, Charlie Abner of Jasper; six grand-children and two 
great-grandchildren. Mr. Abner was a Randolph County native and a retired 
employee of McDougal Construction Co. in Atlanta.
