Adkins Jr., 56, of Lineville, Rt. 3, were today at Bellview Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Coleman and the Rev. Martin Deweese officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Adkins died Monday at Clay County Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Catherine P. Adkins of Lineville, Rt. 3; his mother, Mrs. Mary Adkins of Lineville, Rt. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Vinson of Geneva and Mrs. Annie L. Henderson of Camp Hill; and several nieces and' nephews. Pallbearers were A.D. Preston, Woodie McVey, Arnold Clark, A.L. Hockey, Lucius Reynolds and R.C. Miller. Mr. Adkins was a native of Tallapoosa County and a former resident of Lake Station, Ind. He had lived in Lineville for the past three months and was a retired employee of the Bud Company in Gary, Ind. He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church of Lineville.
