Mr. John G. Allen while working with his gun accidentally discharged it killing 
his infant child, the entire charge entering the left side of its face, tearing 
away the cheek. The unfortunate babe lived about three hours after the horrible 
accident, when death came to relieve it of its sufferings. It was the only child 
of Mr. Allen was about two months old. The father and mother are almost overcome 
by grief. We, together with large number of relatives and friends, extend our 
heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved father and mother.
