Brimingham News
Mrs. Mattie Baccus, wife of John Baccus, of Fish Head Valley, died at the home of 
her sister, Mrs. Olen Evans, of Heflin, Thursday. Mrs. Baccus had been sick for 
several months. Her brother. Dr. Daniel Harris, of Mumford, carried her to the 
St. Vincent hospital at Birmingham last week, but she grew worse and insisted on 
being carried to her home. She came in Wednesday night and died, at 9 o'clock 
Thursday. She was buried at the old family burial grounds at Fish Head.
