Ashland Progress
W. W. Bailey, a well-known resident of the county who lived several miles south 
of Ashland was found dead in his field Tuesday and is thought to have met death 
by his own hand. He is said to have gone to his field to gather some corn and, 
failing to return when expected his folks made investigation and found him dead 
his throat cut. He leaves a wife and several children.

Death Cert: Burial Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Clay County, AL.
