Ashland Progess
Final rites for Mr. J. A. W. Bailey were held at the Mellow Valley Baptist Church 
on October 17 with the Reverends A. A. Jacobs and Grady Birchfield officiating. 
Interment was in church cemetery, with Blair Funeral Directors in charge. Mr. 
Bailey passed away at his residence on Oct. 16th. He is survived by his wife; 
five sons, Theron, Preston, Bruce, Earl and Clayton Bailey; M daughters, Mrs. 
Ethel Dawkins, Mrs. Lois Croley, Mrs. Irene Phipps, Mrs. Doyel Wright, Mrs. 
Genelle Wright, Mrs. Era Brewer.
