She was born August 7, 1897 and joined the Christian church of New Home in August 1911. She was a consistent member of the church she loved until her death. She leaves a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Carter Baker, two brothers and five sisters to mourn her departure. Three brothers and one sister preceded her to glory. When she knew she must go she told her mother that she was going, and was ready, and would tell the ones who had gone on before that mama was coming too, then she told her father not to grieve for her. She admonished her brothers and sisters to live right and meet her in Heaven. She was laid to rest at New Harmony. The funeral was conducted by Rev. G. 0. Langford. Dear Shellie, we will meet you again. Dear Jesus, thou hast died for us, and for our darling too. We trust thee in each Providence, thy love, is ever true.
