Ashland Progress
This community was shocked when news was received of the death of Mrs. Nora 
Bannister, age 67. She passed away at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Taft 
Buchannan in Alexander City, May 1. Mrs. Bannister was visiting here from Dallas, 
Texas. She is survived by six children, Mrs. T. H. Campbell of Pyriton, Mrs. Lola 
Douglas, Mrs. Grace Keeble, Turner, Nathan, Woodrow Bannister, all of Texas. 
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Church of Christ near 
Pyriton, Rev. J. F. Ray of Ashland officiating.
