Funeral rites were conducted by his pastor, the Rev. John L. Higdon at Blair's Funeral Chapel Monday afternoon with interment in Lineville Cemetery. Surviving relatives are Mrs. Stacy Bell Barnhill of Lineville; a stepson, Eward Ballard of Albuquerque, N Mex.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jeanette Lawrence of Birmingham; three brothers, H. G. of Heflin, Jack of Bossier City, La., and J. G. of Fairfield; and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Swift of Birmingham. Mr. Barnhill was a native of Clay County, former mayor of this city and retired businessman. He was an employe of the ABA railroad before his retirement. Active pallbearers were Floyd Riley, Wilson Riley, Charles Taylor, Dugan Taylor, Pete Thompson and C. H. Robertson. Honorary pallbearers were John W. Mitchell, Ottis McCain, Robert Whatley.
