Ashland Progress
On August 4, 1926 the wife of Mr. D. Barrett of Mellow Valley passed away at the 
age of 76 years. She leaves three children: Madison, Iula and Grover. Mrs.
Pinkie Phipps another child preceded her some 22 years. The remains were placed 
at the County Line cemetery. Funeral services being conducted by Revs. Dunn, 
Robt. Ingram, Tom Dawkins. Mr. Dawkins paid a noble tribute to her Christian life 
and character. She is the last child of Uncle Mattie Miller's family all have 
passed away. Bro. D. Barrett wishes to thank his neighbors and friends for all 
their kindness for she has been an invalid for ten years. A Friend.
