Anniston Star
Grover H. Bearden, 79, of Lineville died Monday at Clay County Nursing Home. 
Services were today at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. 
Dixon Mitchell, the Rev. G. L. Armstrong and the Rev. William L. Gunn 
officiating. Burial was in Clay County Memorial Garden with Blair-Brock Funeral 
Home in charge. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Grace Brooks of Knoxville, 
Tenn. and Mrs. May Sheldon of Fairhope. Pallbearers were Jake Foster, Herbert 
Butler, Vernon Anderson, Elton Reeves, Deroy Butler and J. W. Henson. Mr. Bearden 
was a native and lifelong resident of Lineville and owned several Shell Oil 
service stations.
