She was a Christian, a good and charitable neighbor and friend and a moral and financial guide to many of her relatives during her long and useful life. Among her good deeds was the care and help she rendered orphans and other children and she died in the home of the last motherless child she had reared. Only one of the Bearden family, a sister, Mrs. E. M. Duke, is left, but man other relatives. She had arranged all her affairs, financial and spiritual, for a peaceful going and she shouted and prayed while on her dying bed. The funeral service was held by Rev. W. M. Worthy at County Line church of which she had been a member many years. Her good deeds will ever be remembered. 0. C. DUNAWAY.
