Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Ross Bell, who passed away at his home on Thursday Nov 8, 
were held at Pleasant Grove Church Nov. 9th, at 2 p.m. Rev. Reuben Birchfield, 
Rev. Bennie Mathews, Rev. Clyde Latham officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Grove 
cemetery, directed by Blair. He is survived by his wife, Emma Bell; two sons, 
Owen, of Anniston; Wendell of Lineville. Two daughters, Mrs. I. H. Parsons, 
Anniston, Mrs. G. W. Green, Lineville. Six grandchildren; one great grandson. 
Five sisters, Mrs. Maude Thomas, Mrs. Pearl Crow, Ashland Mrs. Gertrude Miller, 
Dooling, Mrs. Myrtle White, Washington, D. Mrs. Bessie Dean, Penn. Pallbearers 
were Jim Walker, Harvey Bradford, Felix Hendrix, Sterl Jordan, Clinton Ford and 
Joe Turner.
