Alexander City Outlook
Mrs. Mollie Whaley Bence, age 77, died at her home on route 1, Cragford, Alabama, 
June 28. Funeral services were held at Bethel Church at 3:30 P. M., June 29, with 
Rev. Grady Birchfield officiating. Interment in Bethel Cemetery with Radney 
Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Bence is survived by her husband, Andy Bence, four 
daughters, Mrs. Carrie Lee Harry, Daviston, Ala.; Mrs. J. L. Purcell, Sanford, 
Ala.; Mrs. S. H. Carter, Andalusia, Ala.; Mrs. W. H. Cotney, Daviston, Ala.; five 
sons, O. P. Bence, Flint Hill; Andy Bence, Jr., Daviston, Ala.; O. S. Bence, 
Alexander City,; V. F. Bence, Sylacauga; H. S. Bence, Cragford, Rt. 1,; two 
sisters and one brother.
