Anniston Star
James 0 Birchfield, 94, of Lineville, Rt. 3, died Friday at 8:15 a.m. at Ashland 
Hospital. Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church 
with the Revs. Harold McKenzy and D. Hurst officiating. Blair Funeral Home in 
Ashland in charge. Mr. Birchfield is survived by five daughters Mrs. Lena Palmer 
and Mrs. Zera Hurst of Anniston, Mrs. Bessie McKay of Ashland, Mrs. Essie Wilson 
of Atlanta and Mrs. Mavis Bishop of Langdale. and two sons Theron of Lineville, 
and Herbert of Las Vegas. Pallbearers will be Dr. James McKay, Charles McKay, 
James Wilson, Bill Wilson, Olen Birchfield and Joe Bishop.
