L. Black will be pained to learn of his death, which sad event occurred at his home in this place Oh last Wednesday morning at about 2 o'clock. Mr. Black was an honored and respected citizen of Ashland, having been identified with the town as a successful businessman for a number of years. He always took an interest and an active part in any enterprise that had for its intention the upbuilding and welfare of his town and community and in his death, we lose a most valued and useful citizen. Mr. Black had been in poor health for more than a year, and some few days ago was taken worse and grew weaker till the end came. He was buried in the cemetery at this place today at 3 p. m. All the business houses in town were closed during the burial services. He leaves a wife and six children.
