Lineville Headlight
Charley Blackman was stabbed to death by Sam Calhoun near Barfield five miles 
east of town Wednesday night. Both parties were negroes. Calhoun was arrested and 
lodged in jail Thursday morning.

Additional Comments:
Jan 21, 1910:
A number of criminal cases were disposed of in County court this week. Sam 
Calhoun was given a life sentence on a charge of murder and Sam Horsley and 
Douglas Shealy pleaded guilty to charges of robbery and were given five years 
each.
