Ashland Progress
In the death of Mrs. Nancy Blair, Bethel church community lost one of its oldest 
members. For 60 years she had been a faithful and devoted Christian, encouraging 
right living and looking upon the bright side of life. She was born in Jasper 
County, Ga Feb 6, 1833, she was married to E.G. Blair, who died many years ago, 
and she was the mother of six children, all of whom were with her in her last 
illness which came to an end Feb 14. As a mother her children could call her 
blessed for indeed her life was exemplary. Funeral services at Bethel were 
conducted by her pastor, Rev Worthy, and were attended by many, relatives and 
friends.
