Valter Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The body will be at the church an hour before services. Mr. Boggs died Tuesday at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Boggs of Wedowee; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Paul Blanchard of Sylacauga, Miss Sue Boggs of Columbus, Ga., and Mrs. Retha Williams of Wedowee; five sons, Shaddix Boggs of Alexander City, Joe Boggs of Talladega, Jerry Boggs of Columbus, Ga., and Aubrey Boggs Jr. and Tommy Boggs, both of Wedowee; four sisters, three brothers, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will members of the sheriff 's department. Mr. Boggs, a native of Clay County, had lived in Wedowee for a year. He was police dispatcher for the Roanoke Police Department in 1978 before becoming jailer for the Randolph County Sheriff's Department in 1979. He was a veteran of World War II, a Baptist and a member of the Alabama Peace Officer's Association.
