Relatives and friend here of Mr. and Mrs. J. U. Boggs of Lineville were deeply 
grieved when news came that he had passed away, in Birmingham Hospital Friday 
evening. They formerly resided here. He was noted for his, hospitality, and there 
was nothing he enjoyed more than helping the unfortunate far and near, sincere 
sympathy is extended this host of bereaved ones. His funeral was conducted here 
Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. D. W. Burson of Lineville and he was 
laid to rest in Delta Cemetery with Blair directing. Pallbearers were; W. E. 
Carpenter, J. B. Crews, Charley Coleman and A. Smith of Lineville, and Excell 
Dial and John Floyd McCollough of Delta.
