Her vitality had been failing gradually for some time, but she is said to have retained consciousness and recognized relatives and friends till the day of her death. Miss Bonner was born and reared at Carrollton, Ga., and in 1866 moved near Ashland, where she has since made her home. She was the last survivor of the older member of a prominent family of this section, and a number of her nephews and nieces, with their descendants, survive her. The deceased was in many respects a remarkable character, but doubtless someone better acquainted with her will write a sketch of her life for publication later. Funeral services were held at Sardis church Saturday and her remains were laid to rest in the Sardis cemetery.
