Anniston Star
Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock this afternoon at the Second Baptist. 
Church in Oxford for Mrs. Rachel Aletha Bowen, 67, of Anniston. Rt 3.
who died at her home on May 9th. The Rev. Louis P. Bowen officiating. Burial was 
in the Lineville Cemetery was in charge of Colonial Chapel. Mrs. Bowen is 
survived by four daughters Mrs. G.H. Parrish Oxford, Mrs. A.H. Curtis of 
Anniston, Mrs. A. J. Rosemand of Willow Brook. Calif and Mrs. W.L. Allen of Los 
Angeles, two sons, M. A. Bowen of Oxford and G. H. Bowen of Anniston: one sister-
in-law, Mrs. S. E. Humphries of Lineville, nine grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.
