Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mrs. Lethin Brooks, of Anniston, were held Sunday p.m. at 
two o'clock at Northside Baptist Church in that city of which she was a member. 
Graveside services were held at Pine Grove Church, this county, with interment in 
that cemetery. Rev. Ray Till, of Anniston, officiated and Usrey Funeral Home was 
in charge. Mrs. Brooks is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Gay Prestridge 
and several stepchildren. Six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lee Walker, Miss Rannie 
Dawkins, Mrs. George Twilley and Mrs. Dora Padgett, all of Clay County, Mrs. 
Addie Walker, Alexander City and Mrs. Kate Kirk, Talladega and one brother, 
Thomas McMath, of this county. Mrs. Brooks was a former resident of Ashland but 
has resided in Anniston for quite a number of years.
