The funeral being held Tuesday at Mt. Zion church near where he was reared. He is said to have been at work underground in a coal mine when, due to the fact that the lights had gone out, he was in some way caught by a truck or tram car and his neck was broken. He was 39 years of age, was a son of Mrs. J. A. Brooks of the Mt. Zion community and is survived by his wife and four children, 3 sons and one daughter.
