Anniston Star
Funeral services for Joe Brown, 78-year-old life-time resident of Clay County who 
died Wednesday afternoon at the Lineville Hospital, will be held tomorrow at 10 
a.m. at the Manus Chapel Church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. 
Brown is survived by his were five sons, William of Delta, Rt. 1; Harwell of 
Anniston, Rt. 3; Rochester of Pyriton, Earl of Oxford, Rt. 2, and Norris of 
Pyriton, Rt. 1; eight daughters, Mrs. Ed Shults of Pyriton, Rt. 1. Mrs. Margaret 
Watts of Alexandria. Mrs. J. R. Howell of Anniston, Mrs. Utile Whitley of 
Anniston. and Misses Inez, Jo Ann, Mary and Shirley Brown of Pyriton; and 19 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
