Anniston Star
W. T. (Uncle Bill) Brown, 87, one of Clay County's oldest residents, died at his 
home, Lineville, Rt 3. at 8:45 last night following, an illness of several weeks. 
Mr. Brown was a retired farmer. A native of the Shinbone Valley area, he spent 
his entire life. there. He was well known in me Anniston area. Funeral 
arrangements will be announced by Blair Funeral Home of Lineville. Survivors 
include the widow, six sons including J. D., W. T., Jr., and Leander Brown, of 
Anniston; four daughters, one brother, and a number of grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

He was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Clay County, AL.
