Ashland Progress
Mrs. Mary I. Brown, age 70, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D.D. White, 
in the western part of town Saturday Morning at 4 o'clock, after a lingering 
illness. Mrs. Brown was a resident of Cragford, but had been the home of her 
daughter here for several weeks. Her remains were carried to Cragford for 
interment, the funeral being held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. She is survived 
by four daughters and one son. Besides Mrs. White her daughters are Mrs. Bobie 
Carwile, of Tampa, Mrs. Kinnie Grizzle, of Hubbard City, and Mrs. Earlie Peek, 
of Cragford. Her son, Frank Brown, resides at Falkville. Mr. and Mrs. White 
requests The Progress to express to all their friends and neighbors their 
profound thanks for the many deeds and expressions of kindness and sympathy 
shown in connection with her illness and death.
