          Obituary

   It is with sadness we record the death of Mrs.
Mary Brown, who died at her home in the eastern
portion of this county on the evening of the 20th
ult. She was the daughter of Jehu Orr, one of the
original settlers of this county. She was born 
July 27th 1841. On February 8thy 1870 she was
married to Mr. Hiram A. Brown.-- Since 1875 she
has lived a consistent member of the Christian
church.
   Mrs. Brown was brought up under exceptionally
good parental training, and it was only necessary
to unite herself to the church of God to develop
in her character that rare combination of traits
which complete the full measure of womanhood, 
this was exemplified in the performance of  her
duty as a church member, neighbor, wife and
mother. She leaves a husband, two sons and a 
daughter, to mourn their loss. To be triumphant
in death and to meet her in Heaven they have
only to follow her example. May they too drink
of the fountain of life and may they all at last
form an unbroken family in Heaven.
