Ashland Progess
William A. Bryant, age 61, of this community, died suddenly Friday afternoon, 
April 18th at his home and was buried at Pole Bridge Baptist church Saturday 
afternoon at three o clock. Rev. G. C. Corley, pastor of the Millerville 
Methodist church officiating. Deceased had been a lifelong resident of Clay 
County and leaves to survive him besides his widow, eleven children and one 
stepson, as follows: Felix, Tinnie Velma, Dewey, Douglas, Alex, Noah Peek 
(stepson) all of this community, Thos. and George of High Pine, Mrs. Ada Carter 
of Lineville and Mrs. Eular Patterson of Sylacauga. Deceased was a member of The 
Church of Christ and was good citizen.
