Ashland Progress
S. M. Bunn, 83, of Pyriton, died Sunday and his remains were interred Monday 
afternoon in Concord cemetery following appropriate funeral services. Mr. Bunn 
was numbered among the early settlers of this section. In fact, he lived in this 
community in the very earliest days of Ashland's history, and he delighted in 
giving reminiscences of those times. He was a member of the rapidly diminishing 
roll of Confederate Veterans. Of his immediate family his wife and nine children 
survive him.
