Samuel Mickelberry Burdett 88 resident of Cragford Ala died at the home of his 
daughter Mrs. Jessie Sharp near Tatum school, after being declining health for 
several years. Funeral services were held on Sunday at Cragford Ala with the Rev. 
Monroe Driver pastor of the Corinth Baptist church of Hogansville officiating and 
interment was the churchyard. Mr. Burdette a native of Chambers County Ala, had 
lived in Cragford for 50 years. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his 
wife Annie Eudora Wilson Burdett of Cragford, five daughters Mrs. D.  McMichael 
of Talladega Ala, Mrs. Loma Ashworth of Alexander City Ala, Mrs. Nancy Sprayberry 
of LaGrange, Mrs. Francis Hedrick and Mrs. Josie Sharp also of LaGrange one son 
W.H. Burdett of LaGrange, one half-brother Jim Burdett of Cragford.
